April Challis

​April Challis studied fine art at Canterbury University in Christchurch in the Fine Arts faculty. She continued her study completing a Master of Fine Arts from RMIT University, Melbourne. April also attained a Diploma of Teaching (Visual Art) from Canterbury Teachers Training College, Christchurch and has worked in Art Education for many years. Alongside teaching she maintained her own art practice and now works exclusively as a visual artist. April has lived in Australia and for the last 20 years Hong Kong. Her work has been shown in New Zealand and Australia as well as in Hong Kong.
